ICF Readiness & Mentorship

Dive Into a Coach Approach® Level 4 | ICF Readiness & Mentorship is a 10-hour hybrid program for professionals who have earned the Coach Approach in Healthcare Integration Certificate and are preparing to pursue an ICF ACC credential through the Portfolio Path.

Level 4 provides five additional hours of coach-specific education and five hours of mentor coaching. You’ll receive competency-based feedback from an ICF-credentialed mentor coach who holds the ICF Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS), along with practical support for your ACC application and exam preparation.

• Credential Preparation: Receive guidance to understand the ICF ACC Portfolio Path requirements and navigate the application process
• Recorded Coaching Review: Submit a recorded coaching session for competency-based review aligned with the ICF Core Competencies and ACC Minimum Skills Requirements
• Targeted Growth Feedback: Receive a competency-based score and clear next steps. If your coaching demonstrates ACC readiness, we’ll say so. If further development is recommended, you’ll know where to focus
• ACC Exam Preparation: Access curated study resources and original practice questions to prepare for the ICF ACC Exam

Level 4 is designed for professionals who are ready to complete the final stage of the DICA pathway toward ICF ACC readiness, including:

• Healthcare and helping professionals who have earned the Coach Approach in Healthcare Integration Certificate by completing DICA Levels 1–3
• Practitioners preparing to pursue an ICF ACC credential through the Portfolio Path
• Learners ready to submit recorded coaching sessions and receive competency-based scoring and Growth Feedback
• Professionals seeking to strengthen how they model and apply a Coach Approach within clinical, leadership, education or organizational roles

• 10-hour hybrid Level 4 program; complete five additional hours of coach-specific education and five hours of mentor coaching
• Five hours of documented mentor coaching; completed through qualifying group and individual mentor-coaching sessions
• Three one-hour online classes; attend live or view the recordings throughout the course-access period
• Competency-based recorded coaching review; submit a recorded session and receive personalized written Growth Feedback with a formal DICA competency score aligned with the eight ICF Core Competencies and ACC Minimum Skills Requirements
• DICA ICF Credentialing Log review; receive support organizing and reviewing your coaching education, mentor-coaching and client-experience documentation against the published ACC Portfolio Path requirements
• Comprehensive ACC Portfolio Path toolkit; access video and written application guidance, ICF membership information, reference documents and strategies for building and documenting 100 hours of client coaching
• ICF competency learning library; revisit all eight ICF Core Competencies and see how they connect with the DICA framework, techniques and coaching-demonstration requirements
• ACC-level coaching examples; review coaching sessions that demonstrated ACC-level competency, with supporting transcripts and feedback when available
• ACC Exam preparation; access official exam information, question-format guidance, online and in-person testing considerations, Pearson VUE preparation tips and original practice questions
• Practical learning and reflection resources; use the DICA 4 workbook, DICA Mindset Self-Assessment, Growth Feedback Guide and Coaching Growth Reflective Exercise
• Class recordings and supporting materials; revisit the live learning throughout the course-access period

• Apply ICF Core Competencies and ACC-level markers to demonstrate coaching proficiency in a recorded session with a real client.
• Evaluate personalized written feedback from an ICF-credentialed mentor coach who holds the ICF Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS) to identify strengths and growth areas, and integrate this into a development plan aligned with credentialing standards.
• Construct a complete ICF Portfolio Path application, including an accurate log of education and client hours, a transcribed coaching session, and all supporting documentation for ACC credentialing.

Step 1: Complete Your ACC Readiness Learning
Access the DICA 4 Learning Portal and participate in three one-hour live online classes. Class recordings and supporting materials remain available throughout the course-access period.

Step 2: Submit Your Materials
Submit:

• One 25–45-minute recorded coaching session
• Your updated DICA ICF Credentialing Log, including your coaching education, mentor-coaching and client-experience hours

Step 3: Receive a Transcript and Competency-Based Review
Your recorded session will be transcribed and reviewed by an ICF-credentialed mentor coach who holds the ICF Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS). You’ll receive a formal DICA competency score aligned with the eight ICF Core Competencies and ACC Minimum Skills Requirements.

Step 4: Receive Growth Feedback and Mentor Coaching
Receive a comprehensive written Growth Feedback report identifying your demonstrated strengths and areas for continued development. Complete your group and individual mentor coaching, including a dedicated 30-minute session to review your score, ask questions and clarify your next steps.

Step 5: Prepare for Your ACC Application and Exam
Receive support reviewing your DICA ICF Credentialing Log against the published ACC Portfolio Path requirements. Use the application guidance, credentialing resources and ACC Exam preparation materials within the Learning Portal to prepare for your next steps.

Function First Coaching provides education, mentorship and application-readiness support. ICF makes the final determination regarding eligibility, acceptance of documentation and the awarding of an ICF credential.

Q1. How do I register for Level 4 | ICF Readiness & Mentorship?

Level 4 is available to professionals who have completed Levels 1–3 of the Dive Into a Coach Approach® program and earned the Coach Approach in Healthcare Integration Certificate.

Submit the Interest Form at the top of this page. Our team will verify your completion of the three-certificate pathway and send you the upcoming cohort information and private checkout link.

Standard Level 4 tuition is $1,497 USD. Active DICA Grad Members receive preferred tuition of $1,297 USD.

Q2. How does Level 4 contribute toward an ICF ACC Portfolio Path application?

Level 4 provides five additional hours of coach-specific education and five hours of mentor coaching. Together with the education and mentor coaching completed through the preceding DICA levels, Level 4 brings your documented pathway totals to 70 hours:

• 60 hours of coach-specific education
• At least 10 hours of mentor coaching completed over a minimum of three months
• At least three hours of individual mentor coaching

The Level 4 hours are not issued as ICF Continuing Coach Education credits. Function First Coaching Inc. provides completion and curriculum documentation to support an ACC Portfolio Path application. ICF reviews each application and makes the final determination regarding the acceptance of education and mentor-coaching hours.

Q3. What is the total time commitment?

Level 4 is a 10-hour hybrid program that includes:

• Five hours of self-paced coach-specific education
• Three one-hour live online group mentor-coaching classes
• Two hours of individual mentor coaching, including a dedicated Growth Feedback review

Class recordings and supporting materials remain available throughout the course-access period. Additional time may be required to select and submit your recorded coaching session, update your credentialing documentation and prepare your ACC application.

Active DICA Grad Members receive a $200 tuition reduction, bringing the Level 4 tuition to $1,297 USD.
